Dr. Samuel J. Yankelove is a highly respected, board-certified ophthalmologist with more than 40 years of experience in providing exceptional care to his patients. Originally from the East Coast, Dr. Yankelove completed his Medical Doctorate and studies in eye surgery at the University of Maryland. He specialized in Cataract and Refractive Surgery in the Houston area for many years before relocating to Florida.
With his extensive medical training and compassionate, patient-centered approach, Dr. Yankelove is dedicated to helping his patients not only achieve superior outcomes but also receive outstanding patient experiences. Dr. Yankelove is a life Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and has served as a committee chairman at the Harris County Medical Society.
In his spare time, Dr. Yankelove enjoys photography, tennis, pickleball, scuba diving, and spending time with his golden doodle, Penelope. He also has volunteered with SEE International, a nonprofit organization that provides eye care to underserved populations in developing countries. His volunteer work has taken him and his wife, Dale, to places such as India, Africa, and Vietnam, where he has helped restore vision to patients suffering from severe cataracts through life-changing surgeries. With his vast expertise, dedication to his patients, and passion for giving back, Dr. Yankelove has made a lasting impact both locally and internationally in the field of ophthalmology.
